Cedric expanded his acting career while pursuing comedy and landed in films such as Big Momma's House, Get Smart, Be Cool, and Code Name: The Cleaner. While still an emerging talent, Cedric hosted BET's "ComicView" in 1993-'94 and "Def Comedy Jam" in 1995 before co-starring on the WB sitcom and appearing in the Spike Lee documentary. There, he'd become a major player in the 1990s Era of Hip Hop Comedy, helping to transform what initially began as an experiment into an unforgettable experience as Black comics got their voice on stage. After receiving a degree from Southeastern Missouri State and bouncing between jobs, he decided to pursue comedy full-time in Los Angeles, where he now lives with his family.
